Vince McMahon to Start Wrestling Organization

STAMFORD, Conn., Jun. 23, 2010 -- Vincent Kennedy McMahon is no stranger to the wrestling business. He has been employed by multiple major wrestling organizations of the past, from the NOWF to Valiant Championship Wrestling and more, but he will be merely on-air announcer talent no longer.

McMahon has accumulated the capital necessary and, maybe more importantly, has secured a blockbuster deal with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), guaranteeing McMahon a weekly Saturday night time-slot for his newly formed World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The program that will air in that time-slot is rumored to be coined "Saturday Night's Main Event."

There is a cloud of secrecy surrounding McMahon and many of the details of his new company at this time -- most assuredly by design. In a short phone conversation with McMahon moments ago, we were able to additionally uncover that all signed-talent would first receive event and travel information on July 3 and that the first WWF broadcast on NBC would air live on July 10 with a full slate of matches.

McMahon added:

"If the best wrestlers in the world today want to work for the soon-to-be biggest and best wrestling organization in the world, where their events and fights never, ever, ever get canceled or pushed back, where there is never a lack of communication, where nobody is ever left in the dark about anything, the World Wrestling Federation has its arms open. Come and make the best decision of your professional lives. Join the World Wrestling Federation before it's too late."
